Course

Quamby Estate offers a rare gem of a Tasmanian golf course situated close to Launceston, is open to members and the public, and is available to book for corporate and private events.

Lovingly constructed in the early 1990’s by local man Ian MacFarlane, this beautiful course is positioned on a high elevation with magnificent rural views.

Once around this unique 9-hole course is 3000 metres and commands a par 37. Fairways are lined by large mature trees planted in rows with garden avenues, hedgerows, lakes and ponds. The course features nine lakes, cascades, creeks and challenging ‘Scottish’ bunkers beautifully groomed from specially refined Scottsdale sands. Quamby Golf Course offers a challenging and entertaining experience for golfers of varied ability, age and experience.

Australia’s Number One golfing magazine, Australian Golf Digest has in the past praised Quamby Estate’s Golf Course: “It has some absolutely ripper holes that entice you to drop two or three balls to play your shots again. It boasts the best bunkering you’re ever likely to see on a nine-hole golf course.”
